Womxn Meaning & Definition
A term Womxn originally coined by feminists to separate women from patriarchy by removing the relationship between the words “women” and “woman” from “men” and “man” and thus also from patriarchy.

Lately the term has been used in an attempt to identify binary and feminine identities for minority groups of women such as women of color, disabled women, etc.

The inclusion of all of these identities (with the exception of the non-binary) by an alternate version of women implies that they are not actually “women” but “womxn” while people still refer to women as women.
This is extremely different especially for trans women because it spreads the idea that they are not real women.
It is also problematic because women are the group of people who identify as feminine and non-binary is NOT the same as woman, so it should not be included in the word “womxn”.
Sure, the word is separated from masculinity, but definitely not from women, which throws too wide a web to be so closely associated with women, given that non-binary identities are not only women but also more inclusive.
Please stop using this word as it is very different and invalidates the identity of trans women and non-binary PEOPLE (not women NOR women).
