Scholarships For Students
Already registered in a job? Find out what incentives your employer offers for employees pursuing postgraduate studies: Many employers offer some form of tuition reimbursement, and while you will likely have to stay with this company for some time after graduating, it can be a good deal to do. if you plan on doing this anyway.
Do the research because you don’t necessarily have to increase the student loan debt that you took on during your bachelor’s career. College-Based Awards
Colleges know that graduate schools are expensive and many are willing to help. In addition to traditional scholarships for students and scholarship for PhD students interested in becoming teaching assistants or doing research.
Some universities support their alumni with student discounts for graduate programs and additional certifications and training. St. John’s University. enables dismissed alumni to participate in their graduate programs at half price.
Manchester College allows students who cannot find a job within six months of graduation to receive one year of free coursework. You may be surprised at what your alma mater can offer you, so explore all your options.
Profession-Specific Scholarships
Many organizations offer college scholarships for those pursuing a specific field. Nursing and teaching resources for graduate students are the most plentiful, but other career paths could be just as rewarding if you search hard enough.
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Foundation awards the annual Foster G. McGaw Student Fellowship to students enrolled in the final year of a graduate program in health management.
Each scholarships for students is endowed with $5,000 and, among other awards for healthcare professionals, the ACHE awards 20 scholarships each year. Make sure you don’t just look for graduate college grants opportunities at your college, especially if you are interested in a high need or a growing area.
Research Grants
If you are pursuing a field of study where research is particularly important, you can get generous funding from both your college and organizations in your field of study that lead the research you are likely to be interested in.
The National Science Foundation offers a Graduate Research Fellowship program that offers opportunities to graduates interested in science, technology, engineering, and math. Fellows are expected to become experts who can contribute to research, teaching, and innovation in engineering.
Consider research grants for students if you are interested in improving the research base of your chosen subject area.
Professional Organizations
Do you belong to a professional organization? Chances are the group will provide scholarships for students opportunities to its members who are interested in graduate studies. The National Political Science Honor Society Pi Sigma Alpha awards five members the annual Howard Penniman Scholarships for graduate study.
Each scholarship is $2,000 and must be used for postgraduate studies in political science. The Emergency Nurses Association gives scholarships for students to its members to help them achieve advanced degrees. Look out for the groups you already belong to as you may be missing out on generous funding opportunities.
North American Interfraternal Foundation
Are you more of a social butterfly? Don’t be upset. The North American Interfraternal Foundation awards a number of scholarships to alumni fraternities and student unions (including honorary organizations) attending graduate school.
For example, the Jack Anson Scholarship is awarded annually to those interested in studying student staff, college administration, or their fraternity or fraternity staff to qualify for the $1,000 award.
The Lloyd G. Balfour Fellowships are based on academic achievement and social commitment. Up to 10 scholarships between $1,000 and $5,000 are awarded annually. Use your Greek experience to supplement your graduate school financial student aid package.
Fulbright Program
The Fulbright program aims to strengthen ties between Americans and other countries and is funded by annual Congress funds. There are approximately 1,500 of the student awards, and those who receive the State Department-sponsored scholarships for students can study, research, or teach English in 140 countries.

Scholarships are awarded in all areas and disciplines by the Institute for International Education. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification before the start of this international scholarship, whereby people with many years of professional experience in the area of interest can also be awarded.

Graduates and students can apply. The scholarships for students supports students with studies in the fields of insurance, actuarial mathematics, economics, finance, management, mathematics, risk management, statistics or a business-related area.
2. Jonathan Lax Fellowship Fund for Gay Men
Provider: Bread & Roses Community Fund
Amount: $5,000 or $10,000
Founded in 1994 by the late entrepreneur and inventor Jonathan R. Lax with the aim of encouraging gay men to get additional education. $5,000 and $10,000 study grants are awarded to gay men living or studying in the five-county Philadelphia area (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties) and Camden County.
3. ASH Foundation Graduate Scholarship
Provider: American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation
Amount: $5,000
For students of the Graduate School Communication Sciences and Disorders. Up to 15 graduate scholarships are awarded.
4. Support Creativity Scholarship
Provider: Support creativity
Amount: $1,000
This graduate scholarship helps designers, animators, editors, photographers, artists, illustrators, and painters who wish to develop their skills in colleges in NY, NJ, CT, or PA.
5. Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship
Provider: The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Amount: $25,000 scholarship and 50% of tuition
As a way to support immigrants and the children of immigrants seeking college in the United States. There are no study, university or subject-specific requirements.
6. Scholarship from the Overseas Press Club Foundation
Provider: Overseas Press Club Foundation
Amount: 3,000 or funding for the student’s overseas assignment
Graduates and students can apply. To support future foreign correspondents, the Overseas Press Club Foundation selects 12 scholarship holders to award a scholarship or to cover travel expenses.
7. Hertz Foundation Graduate Scholarship
Provider: Hertz Foundation
Amount: Total Tuition Amount + $32,000 USD 9 Month Personal Scholarship
The Hertz Foundation’s Graduate Scholarship aims to provide students with the funding they need to complete Ph.D. Research. Students also receive lifelong advice and the network of members of the Hertz community.
The university must be a participating school, or students can apply for another school to be approved by the foundation. This award can be renewed annually.
8. Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship
Provider: American Psychological Foundation
Amount: $5,000
The student grants were created with a focus on treating mental illness. The APF Violet and Cyril Franks scholarships for students supports graduate-level research projects that use a psychological perspective to understand and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.
9. Oncology Nursing Foundation Master’s Scholarship
Provider: Oncology Nursing Foundation and Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation
Amount: $5,000
PhD students must attend or apply for an NLN or CCNE accredited nursing school. Students may currently be a registered nurse or have a degree in another field.
10. Prospanica Foundation Scholarship
Provider: Prospanica Foundation
Amount: up to $5,000
Graduates and students can apply. The foundation supports individuals with Hispanic heritage who are pursuing higher education at an accredited business school. Students must be US citizens, legal permanent residents, or DACA recipients.
You must be a member, but luckily, student memberships are discounted by 50% during the scholarship period.
11. Davis Putter Scholarship
Provider: Davis Putter Scholarship Fund
Amount: $15,000
Graduates and students can apply. The scholarship helps students who advocate social and economic justice. The scholarship is even available to incarcerated student activists.
12. Home Design Grant
Provider: Houzz
Amount: $2,500
Students who are studying interior design, architecture or landscape architecture and who are enthusiastic about professional work in residential construction can apply. Houzz also offers other scholarships for students related to sustainable design, women, and construction management.

13. Stephen K. Hall ACWA Fellowship in Water Law and Policy
Provider: Association of California Water Authorities
Amount: $7,000
Students with a degree in water law and politics or in public administration can apply for this generous scholarships for students.
Students should have relevant professional goals, attend full-time school, and demonstrate academic achievement.
14. Barbara A. Cooley Masters Scholarship
Provider: SHAPE America
Amount: $1,000 and one-year SHAPE America student membership
Students who are enrolled in health courses can apply. Students interested in current and future topics are encouraged to apply.
15. Thomas J. Henry Leadership Scholarship Program
Provider: Thomas J. Henry
Amount: $1,000
Students aged 18 and over (from high school to graduate school) can apply. Budding personal injury attorneys are encouraged to apply. This scholarships for students to motivate others in and out of the classroom.
16. Akin Law Office Academic Scholarship
Provider: Akin Law Firm
Amount: $2,500
Graduates and students can apply. This scholarship supports law students. Akin Law Firm wants students to create a “Distracted Driving Family Plan” to proactively avoid the chances of distracted driving.
17. Goldman Sachs MBA Scholarship
Provider: Goldman Sachs
Amount: $35,000 + Summer Internship Salary + $40,000 upon completion of the program
Goldman Sachs offers one of the most competitive scholarships for students of PhD in their first year of their MBA. To qualify, students must be either a woman or a woman or a man of Black, Hispanic / Latin American, or Native American descent.
Students in Atlanta, Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Dallas, Greenwich, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, West Palm Beach and Washington D.C. can apply.
18. Inspire our Future Teaching Grant
Provider: Teacher.org
Amount: $500
Teacher.org aims to inspire the next generation of teachers. This $500 award is available to both aspiring teachers and current teachers hoping to continue their education.
19. (ISC)² Graduate Scholarship
Provider: Cybersecurity and Education Center
Amount: $5,000
This flexible graduate scholarship is created to support students pursuing a degree in cybersecurity or information security. Students can be full-time or part-time and attend school either online or on campus based. US citizenship is not required.
20. AACC International Scholarship Program
Provider: AACC International
Amount: $3,000
For graduate students interested in grain-based food science and technology, this $3,000 scholarships for students provides funding for graduate-level research. Candidates must be full-time students enrolled in a university doing relevant research and current AACCI members.
21. Albert W. Dent Student Scholarship
Provider: American College of Healthcare Executives
Amount: $5,000
This minority student scholarship is designed to help those enrolled in a health management graduate program. Preference is given to Student Associates from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
22. Foster G. McGaw Student Fellowship
Provider: American College of Healthcare Executives
Amount: $5,000
Another scholarships for students offered by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is this $5,000 award for graduate students enrolled in a health management program. Student associates from the ACHE (American College of Healthcare Executives) are preferred.
23. AHLEF Graduate Scholarship
Provider: American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation
Amount: $5,000
Both full-time and part-time students are eligible for this $5,000 scholarship. Candidates should either have a college degree in hospitality OR have enrolled in college after completing undergraduate hospitality or have four years of hospitality experience after graduation.
24. Frederic G. Melcher Scholarship
Provider: American Library Association
Amount: $7,500
Students pursuing an MLS degree and interested in working in the children’s library can receive these PhD scholarships.

Upon graduation, recipients must commit to working with children for one year and becoming members of both the American Library Association (ALA) and the Association for Library Service to Children.
25. Eckenfelder Scholarship
Provider: Brown and Cadwell
Amount: $5,000
College juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students pursuing environmentally-related careers, can apply for this $5,000 scholarship. The students must have a declared major in civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences.
26. Edward C. Bryant Fellowship
Provider: American Statistical Association
Amount: $2,500
This graduate scholarship was created to support PhD students who excel in survey statistics. Students must have experience with survey statistics and demonstrate academic excellence throughout the course.
27. Gertrude M. Fox Fellowship
Provider: American Statistical Association
Amount: $1,000
The Gertrude M. Fox Scholarship is awarded by the ASA Committee on Women in Statistics and the Caucus for Women in Statistics. It was established in 1989 to encourage women to pursue statistics-related jobs.
28. Jack G. Shaheen Scholarship for Mass Communication
Provider: American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee
Amount: $2,500
Arab-American students who are juniors, seniors, or graduate students can apply for this scholarship. Students must study journalism, television, radio, and / or film to be eligible.
